A633 carbon steel plate is a normalized high-strength low-alloy structural steel plate used for welded, riveted or bolted structures. This material is suitable for use at lower ambient temperatures where the required notch toughness is better than that expected for rolled materials of comparable strength. The material should have good austenite grain size and should be normalized by heat treatment.
